Regardless what procedure I used to install the OCZ driver (command line with admin priv, 'Update Driver - Have Disk..' in Device Manager, right click on the inf file, etc), the OCZ driver is not loaded, the driver installed remains a Windows driver.
Most times there are no error messages; the 'Have Disk' method results in an error message: the driver is not compatible. Now this is the latest driver from OCZ, which I know it must be compatible (cannot find other similar reports online, ie driver incompatibility).
OCZ has an automated installation file (in addition to the amd64 driver folders), which I run as well: the result was that windows will not recognise the drive after that (reported as 'Disk Drive' in Device Manager, instead of its full name), and when chaching the actual driver installed, it was the same Windows driver.
Dl380 g7 drivers and software download. So I uninstalled the device (from the Dev Mgr window), rebooted, driver was reinstalled automatically by Windows during boot up and the disk is properly recognised, only.. all the other HDD's (I have a few other SATA connected HDDs) are listed as SCSI in the Dev Mgr?!
I am at a loss what I need to do now.
The reason I try to install the OCZ driver is that the RevoDrive reports half speeds (compared to the spec or online reports of teh same drive), and I believe the likely culprit is the driver actually installed.
The F/W of the RevoDrive is the latest (2.2). The drive is recognised in the BIOS, and loads properly during POST (albeit is shown as PCIe x1, when it should be PCIe x4, according to what I read on OCZ's online data).
The system details are:
Op System: Win SBS 2011 Standard
M/B: MSI x79A-GD45 (8D), w latest MSI drivers
Processor: Intel i7-3820
16GB GSkill 1600MHz RAM
All other HDD are Caviar Black
RevoDrive installed in PCIe slot 5
