HP Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) is a comprehensive systems software and firmware update solution, which is delivered as a single ISO image. This solution uses HP Smart Update Manager (HP SUM) as the deployment tool and is tested on all HP ProLiant Gen9, Gen8 and earlier servers as defined in the Service Pack for ProLiant Server Support Guide found at www.hp.com/go/spp/documentation.

Reboot Requirement:
Reboot may be required after installation for updates to take effect and hardware stability to be maintained.

Installation:

README replaces Start in online and offline modes.
Users familiar with using Start on the previous SPP iso will notice that it has been replaced with a new file, README. README.html will present locations for finding more information on the web and the basics of how to use the SPP in multiple languages. End User License Agreements (EULA) are available in the EULA folder for viewing.
Installation instructions
There are two methods for using the Service Pack for ProLiant to update your ProLiant servers:
- Online mode - Runs on a Windows or Linux hosted operating system
- Offline mode - Server is booted to the ISO

  • Automatic mode - Firmware components will be updated without interaction

  • Interactive mode - Follow the onscreen steps to update firmware components

    To initiate deployment in Interactive mode:

    Run the launch_hpsum.bat (Windows) or launch_hpsum.sh (Linux) script, which is found in the root of the ISO.

    Automatic mode will by default run firmware update without any user interaction after sitting 30 seconds at the menu screen when an SPP ISO image is used to boot the server.
    Booting the SPP from iLO virtual media is only supported in Automatic Firmware Update mode. Users attempting this in any other mode may experience hangs from connection timeouts, difficulties updating iLO firmware, and mouse syncing issues.
    Note: If you install a software from the SPP and then install a Microsoft Windows operating system Service Pack or other operating system updates, HP recommends reinstalling the software from the SPP.

The following devices (P212, P410, P410i, P411, P711m, P712m, and P812) are not supported with the HP ProLiant Smart Array Controller Driver and Firmware for VMware vSphere (i.e., Online ROM Flash Component - Smart Array P212, P410, P410i, P411, P711m, P712m, and P812) in SPP version 2015.10.0. The 2019.03.1 SPP replaces 2019.03.0 and contains updated System ROM firmware to address an issue where the system may experience a higher rate of Uncorrectable Memory errors or boot time Memory training issues with Intel Xeon Scalable Performance Bronze and Silver processors. This issue was first introduced with System ROM version 2.00. HPE recommends that any customer experiencing a memory issue immediately update to this version of the system ROM before replacing any components. This issue is not unique to HPE servers.

Description

HP Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) is a comprehensive systems software and firmware update solution, which is delivered as a single ISO image. This solution uses HP Smart Update Manager (HP SUM) as the deployment tool and is tested on all HP ProLiant Gen9, Gen8 and earlier servers as defined in the Service Pack for ProLiant Server Support Guide found at www.hp.com/go/spp/documentation.

Reboot Requirement:
Reboot may be required after installation for updates to take effect and hardware stability to be maintained.

Installation:

README replaces Start in online and offline modes.
Users familiar with using Start on the previous SPP iso will notice that it has been replaced with a new file, README. README.html will present locations for finding more information on the web and the basics of how to use the SPP in multiple languages. End User License Agreements (EULA) are available in the EULA folder for viewing.
Installation instructions
There are two methods for using the Service Pack for ProLiant to update your ProLiant servers:
- Online mode - Runs on a Windows or Linux hosted operating system
- Offline mode - Server is booted to the ISO

Automatic driver installer windows xp. When I uninstalled it Windows asked me to restart the PC and so I did. Then windows restarted and noticing that the audio was not working first it used the standard driver (what I want) then update it to the Connexant.

  • Automatic mode - Firmware components will be updated without interaction

  • Interactive mode - Follow the onscreen steps to update firmware components

    To initiate deployment in Interactive mode:

    Run the launch_hpsum.bat (Windows) or launch_hpsum.sh (Linux) script, which is found in the root of the ISO.

    Automatic mode will by default run firmware update without any user interaction after sitting 30 seconds at the menu screen when an SPP ISO image is used to boot the server.
    Booting the SPP from iLO virtual media is only supported in Automatic Firmware Update mode. Users attempting this in any other mode may experience hangs from connection timeouts, difficulties updating iLO firmware, and mouse syncing issues.
    Note: If you install a software from the SPP and then install a Microsoft Windows operating system Service Pack or other operating system updates, HP recommends reinstalling the software from the SPP.

DL380 G7 display driver for Windows Server 2012 now it run at 1024 x 768 at 64hz, not fully fit. DL380 G7 display driver for Windows Server 2012. 64MB video standard. ATI which is now AMD, has no drivers developed for this OS and hardware. Will have to wait and see if HP has any plans to introduce drivers for ATI ES1000. I need to updated the drivers the chipset, display, IPMI Interface, base system device, and the NIC drivers. Do you all know where I can find these - 5449487.
